With the Badminton Horse Trials coming up fast it leaves little time for us to decide what to wear. We all know how glamorous the event is, it can be tricky to get the look when you are walking the course in the unpredictable British weather.
We have been very lucky to meet with Lorraine Stone, creator and designer of Whitmore Ivy – an up and coming British brand. Lorraine is based in Dorset and a fellow equestrian herself. Whitmore Ivy are currently designing their spring and summer range for 2018. I have been extremely lucky to get my hands on the beautiful tartan cape.
I have always been partial to a poncho or cape. The navy is a real favourite of mine and goes really well with the country colours. I wear mine on top of a base layer with navy breeches and my comfortable everyday wear Ariats.
The beauty about these capes are that they fit perfectly with your favourite pair of denim jeans and comfy country boots.
A great combination for walking the course at Badminton.
Lorraine from Whitmore Ivy says:
“The Whitmore ivy poncho is a classic look often seen at outdoor pursuits. we’ve coupled ours with a modern edge with the addition of the ‘house of gordon’ tartan as seenĀ on the catwalks for winter 2018/19. We feel it’s one to watch out for this year!”
Whitmore Ivy have are currently working on some stunning Harris Tweed jackets which are stunning. We are super excited to see this collection when it launches.
There is also a beautiful collection of scarfs which are super versatile. With the lightweight feel made of beautiful british wool to keep you warm. Even a few styles for the Gents too, catering for everyone with their Quintessentially British style.
Make sure you keep an eye out for the new ranges launching soon at their website – or follow them on Insta
